Theta Tau Fraternity

A small group of students are starting Theta Tau (a professional coed fraternity) on campus and are looking for people who would be interested in being a part of the founding class!

Hey Materials Engineering majors! My name is Jean Choi and I am part of a group of students here at Cal Poly that is starting Theta Tau, a professional co-ed engineering fraternity. If you didn't already know, Theta Tau is the oldest and largest Fraternity for Engineers, with chapters across the country and members around the world. Our mission is to develop engineering leaders for Service, Profession, and Brotherhood.

To give a brief overview, we are currently looking for hard-working students that are interested in making a lasting impact on the SLO campus by helping build this fraternity from the bottom up. Our team has a vision of the fraternity being diverse in terms of major, gender, year, and skillset. Currently, we are in the process of becoming a colony and brainstorming events based on our three pillars.

Although this will be a lot of time commitment, you should see this as an opportunity to make a lasting legacy on campus, network with other engineers, build lifelong friendships, and so much more. If this is something that is of interest to you, please fill out the Google Form and we will get back to you shortly.
