Program Highlights
Description: The Back to the Future Program is a paid summer research program based in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering with a theme of impact of metals on art and history. Examples of past projects can be seen here: http://met.sdsmt.edu/backtothefuture/
Potential Projects: Friction stir welding, laser processing, advanced mineral/metals processing, nanomaterials, biomaterials, additive manufacturing, corrosion, polymer testing, testing and analysis of advanced alloys.
Dates: May 25-July 31, 2020 (10 weeks)
Stipend: $5,000 + Room and board
