Quality of Life Plus Student Association is kicking off Cybathlon this quarter. Cybathlon is an international competition for people with disabilities to compete using assistive devices (such as powered prosthetics) to complete everyday tasks. Cal Poly participants will be building a myoelectric arm suited to compete in this event. To tackle this project, QL+ is seeking people who are interested in mechanical design, socket manufacturing, and electrical systems. QL+ will lead workshops training individuals in Fusion 360, molding processes, and how to use Arduino. Everyone, regardless of experience level, is encouraged to attend the workshops and help build a myoelectric arm!
Meetings take place every Tuesday in the QL+ Lab (192-130) from 6-7 pm.
