Cal Poly in Rome: Mechanics
Ciao Studenti!
How would you like to spend 3 months studying engineering in Rome? Dr Brian Self is leading a program that explores mechanics in the home of Leonardo Da Vinci and Michelangelo, along with the amazing architecture, art, and food that Italy has to offer. You will take ME211 – Statics, ME212- Dynamics, CE 204 – Mechanics of Materials I, and Italian Language and Culture (C1, C2, or C5), earning 13 degree-applicable Cal Poly units. We also do excursions to Florence, Pisa, Venice, and Bologna. You can find details of the program from this year (excursions, timing, deadlines, costs) at http://abroad.calpoly.edu/?go=RomeMechanics; it will be updated for 2024 in the near future. Information sessions will be posted on the website – our first one will be on Oct 31st at 910 am (see below). You can also email Dr Self at bself@calpoly.edu for more information. We will do the program in Fall of 2024, and depending on interest, we may also try to do a second cohort in either winter or spring of 2025.
