Cal Poly CubeSAT Lab ATLO Team

Cal Poly CubeSat Laboratory’s Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations (ATLO) team is now accepting applications to join the team starting this summer! The ATLO team primarily focuses on performing tests of satellites before they are launched and ensuring successful satellite deployment, both for the PolySat lab and outside companies.

Members of the ATLO team handle spacecraft assembly, deployer integration, and space environmental testing such as thermal vacuum, vibration, and shock tests. The team has many ongoing projects with opportunities for spacecraft and deployer design work. We are looking primarily for first and second year students who would be available to join our team in the spring, stay for the summer, and continue into Fall of 2019.

Desired Skills/ Qualities

• 3D Modeling
• MATLAB (or similar numerical computation program)
• Ability to collaborate and work well in a team
• Self-sufficient on individually-assigned projects
• Clear and concise writing
• Enthusiasm for satellites and spacecraft innovation
