Program Mission and Vision
The mission of the materials engineering program is to create and sustain an integrated effectual, engineering learning environment that develops students into educated and effective members of society. Our vision is to serve humanity through excellence in our undergraduate materials engineering program.
Our primary goal is to provide students with a theoretically rigorous and “hands on” practice-oriented education that will enable graduates to be immediately productive in their careers. The educational objectives of our program are to equip students to know and be able to do the following:

Apply materials engineering principles and design to identify, analyze and confront global challenges.
