Our vision is to serve humanity through
excellence in our undergraduate materials engineering program.
In 2001, we began a comprehensive strategic planning process
with our key stakeholders: industry, students, faculty and
alumni. Our goal was to redefine ourselves and ensure that
we, as public servants of the California citizenry, were adding
value to society. This journey has taken us in new directions
while strengthening our tradition of "hands-on" learning.
