The student club, Materials Engineering Student Societies (MESS), showed young children how to make instant snow using superabsorbent polymer powder and the amazing return energy from amorphous metals. The MATE students explained how fun and fascinating materials can be!

MESS has weekly meetings to promote the materials field and offers professional development to students through the Materials Advantage Chapter affiliation. Guest speakers, materials projects, and social events are planned throughout the year.
