Our masters degree program emphasizes materials science applications in engineering.

Currently, you will be one of only a handful of graduate students working for your advisor, receiving individual faculty guidance for your thesis. Students completing a masters degree with a specialization in materials can select specific study tracks that enable them to develop in-depth knowledge in specific areas of technology.

We have two paths to a M.S. degree. One is the traditional, for those who have finished their B.S. degree. The other is the 4+1, for current Cal Poly students who have completed less than 180 credit units.
