A wide and growing range of expertise
As a program with a broad materials engineering focus, our faculty expertise spans a wide range of expertise: physical metallurgy, nanotechnology, shape-memory alloys, materials characterization, micro fabrication, biomaterials, tribology, micro systems technology, optical properties of materials, manufacturing processes, and advanced joining and deformation processes. We are also expanding into the area of fuel cell technology and ecomaterials.
